Fully health and safety compliant

An essential part of the job, putting people up ropes and cutting through heavy branches calls for careful risk assessments, method statements and experienced project managers and climbers. We carefully assess every new project and make sure the company and working practices remain fully compliant with the current health and safety legislation. Updated safety file available.

Section Tree Felling

Section felling will be used in situations where there is a risk of damaging the surrounding area. The work consists of the entire removal of the tree, in sections. Section felled trees will be dismantled using the step cut, break off and controlled throw method incorporating lowering ropes.

Stump Removal

Stump removal involves complete removal of the stump and any lateral roots belonging to the tree. this is achieved either using hand tools, TLB and excavators Stump grinding involves the removal of stump to a specified depth, generally between 150mm and 300mm. Upon completion of stump removal, the remaining hole will be back-filled with soil or grinding waste to leave a level minimal trace of the work

Each tree will be individually examined in relation to the shape, size, character, condition, site and species of tree. All work will be completed with care and respect for the tree. Each branch will be removed using a cut method where risk of tearing is reduced. All final cuts will be made at the branch collar, with the branch collar remaining intact. All large limbs will be lowered by ropes and slings to avoid damage to the tree and its surroundings. We will make sure all pieces fall to the ground safely. Dead, diseased or damaged branches will be pruned back to the corresponding branch collar. In the case of crossed rubbing branches, the branches will be analysed, pruned or removed accordingly whilst making sure the shape of the tree is left in tact.

Mass & Straight Tree Felling

We make use of chainsaws, TLB, excavators, trucks and industrial size wood chippers to remove trees on a large scale. The straight fell of trees is the removal of trees as a single unit. Straight felling will be limited to such situations that pose zero risk of damage to any property or persons whatsoever.
